We’re Adequate!
By: Abby | September 30th, 2008And not much more.
A 0-0 draw against St. Patrick’s- described, as expected, as “battling”- in rainy Dublin means that we’re through to the group stages of the UEFA Cup. The Irish side had some good chances, Voronin a couple as well, but he’s still looking for his first Hertha goal. And while it may not be the most inspiring of scorelines, it means that we got what we wanted from Ireland.
Would I have preferred a win, to truly put last week behind us? Of course. But I’ll take what I can get. We’re through, and that’s enough.

A Laboured draw is how I would describe it. Now we pray for Milan or Man City in our group so a few people will come to the UEFA games to see how real football is played.

How was the lineup though? Was it watered down or was it the first team?
I tried to watch on some crappy feed and it was too painful with the constant stalls.

The worst part was it was about 75% of the regular line up!

Yeah, Paul is right on. We were missing players for injury, not by design. So until Kacar (and Chermiti) come back, this is pretty much what Hertha has to play.
