Ack. Sorry, Yassine. I haven't seen anything on him out being just a month, although I hope you're right! The most optimistic I've seen is ten weeks rather than twelve.

I've decided I'm pretty pleased at Voronin's signing. An experienced international with solid Bundesliga experience is a fine thing to have- we certainly wouldn't have got him from Leverkusen when he was leaving there...

Is it true that Amine Chermiti (not Armine) will be out for just a month instead of three? I heard that he has been rediagnosed.

Abby, I also didn't saw the Voronin move coming. I was already aware of Chermiti being injured but when the news of Voronin heading to Hertha on loan popped up, I almost got a shock.

I'm cautiously optimistic about Voronin -- poor Pante looked all alone in the German half yesterday and at least now he will have a buddy to keep him company! ;-) That was a neat poacher's goal he got.

I'm afraid St. Patrick’s Athletic will be a bit disappointed by the TV money they can get. Thanks to Hertha there were five instead of four teams in the UEFA Cup trying to get money from German TV networks. Thanks to Schalke there are now six instead of four teams wanting some money. TV networks usually have a fixed budget for sports rights and the UEFA wants all the UEFA Cup matches to be played out on Thursday which reduces the available time slots. Especially the attractive ones.

I think Schalke, Hamburg, Dortmund and Stuttgart (in that order) can call the shots and Hertha and Wolfsburg have to be happy if there is even one network left willing to pick up their games...

Hertha should hope they are drawn into a group with e.g. AC Milan and get the home game against them. That would be worth serious money.
