Pick Your Shirt

By: Abby | July 23rd, 2009

The third shirt is, well, kind of pointless. I’m pretty sure it’s entire purpose is to part fans from their money. When was the last time you saw your club in one?

Their lack of usefulness makes them, quite frankly, rather uninteresting. Which might be why Hertha is trying to raise its profile by letting the fans pick it. True, it’s only of three varieties, but that’s more than most fans get to pick.

The choices:

Jersey 1

Jersey 2

Jersey 3

Personally, I like the first one (I like the arm stripes), although they all look like they should be goalkeeper or training jerseys. To vote yourself, send an email to gewinnspiel@herthabsc.de with the shirt you like, your name, and your address, by noon Berlin time tomorrow. You’ll get a chance to win one yourself. Which, oddly enough considering the normal nature of the third jersey, seems to be the only way to get one. They’re not putting it out in the shops.

Yech. I’d say the third one. I thought last year’s were classic. I know why they changed ($$$), but these are really radical–not in a good way.

I like the second because it’s the least offensive to my retinas, but I could get used to the third…

Yikes – those aren’t very exciting jerseys I’m afraid. I’d have to pick the third one too because at least it has a little life in it.

I don’t like ANY of those. The first one is … I don’t know how to phrase it. The second one reminds me too much of Cottbus’s away shirts and the third one looks like a pajama shirt. Yikes. (I think the worst alternate/third we ever had was the Brazil looking ones several years ago. WTF?!)
