

Reasons Why the Bundesliga is Awesome, Pt 1
By: Abby | November 1st, 2007Hertha Berlin’s DFB-Pokal campaign may have been disappointing, but following a Bundesliga team isn’t all about cup defeats. Indeed, the Bundesliga is a great league to follow, and not just because it’s an exciting league with talented young players, fantastic stadiums, and affordable ticket prices. It may not have the ridiculous riches of England and Spain, but it has something else.
Toasters.
Yes, in Germany even your breakfast can prove your loyalty to your club. I’ve seen them for other Bundesliga clubs, and I’m proud that Hertha is now offering such an importance service to its fans.
Now, if I could only figure out a way to get it to work in Seattle…

Bundesliga really is years ahead of most of the other leagues in branding … first cemeteries, now toasters. Awesome. I’d buy a toaster that branded my bread with my club’s crest. That would kick ass.

Definitely a better way to show your loyalty to a club, than using Hertha or any other Bundesliga club branded bedclothes.

I think even I’d buy a Bayern Munich pretzel maker- that’s way too absurd to pass up. It could join my Ronaldinho caganer.
