Could Be Worse

By: Abby | March 18th, 2008

Lucien Favre went to Frankfurt today to appeal, and it could have been worse. While he still has to pay a fine- up €5,000 from the first fine, to €20,000- he will be on the bench for the upcoming game against Schalke. It’s always better for the manager to actually be around to do important things like yell and make substitutions, so I’m fairly pleased (although that is quite a hefty fine). Schalke will be a big test and it’s best not to handicap ourselves before it even starts.

There is no word, however, about the big debate: what language Lulu spoke in. His native language is French and apparently he’s only been speaking “regular” German for a few years. Which means that whatever he learned in Switzerland probably doesn’t count- I remember my German teacher telling me that Swiss people got subtitles when talking on German TV. So he got a translator.

And the Pante situation goes on. But it is the Bild, so take everything with a shaker of salt.
