Interesting discussion of the Pante (non-)problem. Pante’s a great asset for the team, but I also have faith that Lulu is a pretty good coach, and could bring greater success to Hertha. In any case, the team needs to take some of the burden of taking chances and scoring upon themselves.

I would *love* Ivan Klasnic at Hertha, because I already love him anyway. Also, he’s awesome and he could be great for us.

I agree with you on Lulu’s vision, and I think that’s a good way to do things. It’s definitely an Arsenal way of doing things, which I like. But beyond that, it’s clearly something that’s worked for him. It’s better to have an idea than just grab players and hope it works.

I think Lulu has a specific idea/vision of the football he wants to play and he needs players with specific qualities and players who fit into specific roles to make it all work. That’s probably why he has such a good track record, when it comes to scouting.

So, maybe Pantelic – despite being Hertha’s best striker – doesn’t fit into Lulu’s system and he’d rather sell him and bring in Chermiti, who he already wanted to partner up with Raffael during his Zurich days.

Pantelic only has one year left on his contract, which probably devalues him a bit. But there are so many rich and spoilt Premier League clubs around nowadays, who don’t know what they are doing and who might still pay around €8m-€10m. This would refinance the Chermiti deal and allow Lulu to buy even more players, without touching the Sportfive money.

Though, I also heard a rumour that Ivan Klasnic might be a transfer target. He would be a free agent in the summer, and is a player similar to Pantelic. This could then be an economic stunt. Cash in on Pantelic and bring in Klasnic for free…
