This Was Totally Necessary, I’m Sure
By: Abby | July 28th, 2009A friendly against FC Lübars, who you may remember from when we adopted their women’s team as our own, ended in a 23-0 victory for the Herthaners. That’s correct, 23 goals.
It’s always hard to know how to report on wins like this. On the one hand, goals are awesome, especially goals for Hertha. On the other, I’m softhearted and it seems cruel to pound a poor Bezirksliga side like that.
Anyways, there’s not much to take out of it, other than that it’s nice to see who the goalscorers were. Valeri Domovchiyski scored six of the goals. In the 45 minutes he played, trialist Andre Dede Ayew scored two, and the other trialist, Ivan Perisic, who played the whole game, got two as well. Amine Chermiti scored three times, and Hertha youngsters Sascha Bigalke and Shervin Radjabali-Fardi both got a brace. Oh, and the Hertha kid of the moment, Fanol Perdedaj, got one too. As did Kaka (the other one). Oh, and Patrick Ebert scored four.
I think that’s all of them. It’s a long list.
In other news, the third jersey that we’ll never wear has been revealed! It’s the first one. Which was my favorite. Nyah nyah!
