This Will Never, Ever Get Old

By: Abby | May 15th, 2008

Hertha have signed Kaká.

He’s all ours!

Granted, this Kaká is a defender. And he’s coming to us from Portugal, not Milan. (He’s still Brazilian, though.) Also, I’d never heard of him until last week. But still. Kaká! This will never stop entertaining me.

Anyway. Claudiano Bezerra da Silva is a 26-year-old from São José do Belmonte. He’s 26 years old, a bit over 6′1″, and we signed him for €2 million from Académica de Coimbra. Apparently, he is a central defender.

I’m not even going to bother looking for Youtube clips.

Also, he’s a defender, and no one posts Youtube clips of defenders.

But mostly because I’m never going to find clips of this Kaká.

“Always look on the bright side of life.” :)

Great post Abby! Is it a done deal that Hertha are getting the extra UEFA Cup spot?

The DFL make a big mystery out of it. They don’t publish current standings of their internal ranking. So it’s all speculation at this point. Apart from Hertha – Frankfurt, Wolfsburg(!?), Karlsruhe and Bielefeld could be in the hat as well. Best bit is, that they won’t release their ranking at the end of the season either. They just name the team that won it, which could as well mean, that they don’t bother keeping a ranking according to UEFA’s rules but just pick a club they like.

I remember when they ran a story on the news:

‘Man United have signed RONALDO!!! Not that Ronaldo though’

That worked out well for them…

I wonder how much money Hertha will make with this shirt. :-)
