Hertha supposedly offered Palmeiras to buy only 60% of Valdivia's transfer rights for €6m but Palmeiras don't like that idea. So as it stands Hertha are missing roughly €4m in their budget. Without any player sales they'll have to pick either Valdivia or Chermiti. The transfer window will be open until August 31st, so this can drag on for a while. Infosfoot is saying that the Hertha president is getting very frustrated with this delay. What's happened according to the article I'm linking below is that Etoile is asking for an extra 15 percent to help cover the 20 percent "formation" fee that Jeunesse Sportive Kairouanaise (JSK, Amine's former club) gets as part of the signing. The article also says that nothing has been abandoned. I haven't lost hope but I have to say that if this doesn't happen I don't know what it will do to Amine's morale. He's very ready to leave and has his heart set on Hertha specifically. He got plenty of other offers (including a last minute one from Saudi that dwarfs the Hertha sum) but stuck to your team.
