Two Signings, Two Days
By: Abby | May 16th, 2008The season isn’t even over yet, and already Hertha have signed two players. And that’s not even counting Marc Stein, who’s been committed to us since January.
Today brings the news of Maximilian Nicu, signed from SV Wehen Wiesbaden in the 2. Bundesliga. He’s a German attacking midfielder, 25 years old, and has scored 6 goals in 26 appearances for the Hessen club this season. If Wikipedia is to be believed, anyway.
I can’t say I know much about him, having only a passing acquaintance with the 2. Bundesliga, but I wish him good luck here! Many happy returns and all that.
So that’s three new players in total, officially. There could even be more. Lulu’s moving fast, isn’t he?

Seriously! And apparently Mohamed Chermiti is coming as well, although I never say things are certain until they show up on the website. So that’s a new player in each area of the field…two in the case of the defense.

Not entirely unexpected, but Hertha indeed are in the UEFA Cup (though they have to play an extra qualifying round or two, compared to those who qualified directly).
